I said this on Wednesday, right after I saw the bit about Romney being booed:
“Well-played Mittens. The Republicans don’t care if they lose what little of the African-American vote they were going to get. This was a stunt to get the Republicans fired-up about voting for Romney. Being booed by People of Color is a badge of honor for Republicans. Fox “News” will play this clip & all the racists will cheer.”
Romney used the NAACP to gain credence with the Republican base. It was a stunt.
This is so depressing, but completely understandable. To many Republicans (and I’m generalizing here), the NAACP is part of the politically-correct liberal machine… It’s really sad to see them used as a foil while Romney demonstrates how far right he is.
